Nebras Shura
The Nebras Shura serves as the organization’s administrative board. It consists of a small team of dedicated members with experience in leadership, community service, and Islamic work. Together, they provide guidance and oversight to ensure that Nebras remains true to its mission and values.

Founder
Abu Juwairiyah

Abu Juwairiyah is the co-founder of Nebras, and currently serves as an admin for the organization.

Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, AJ has dedicated over a decade to serving the Muslim communities of Lincoln and Omaha. He has been actively involved in da'wah, education, and community development, volunteering in the local masjid and its weekend school for more than ten years. In addition, he served as a board member for five consecutive years, gaining valuable leadership experience. His work reflects a commitment to community growth through knowledge, service, and adherence to authentic Islamic principles.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) prior to pursuing his journey of seeking knowledge at the Islamic University of Madinah. He has completed a Diploma in Arabic Language and is currently in his final year of the Faculty of ShariÊ¿ah. While in Madinah, AJ has had the opportunity and privilege to benefit from major scholars and complete books with various mashayakh. His journey of seeking knowledge served as the foundation and driving force behind the establishment of Nebras.

Treasurer & Co- founder
Abu Salma E. Boston

Abu Salma E. Boston is Co-founder and Treasurer of Nebras, where he serves as the organization’s principal steward of financial integrity and accountability. In this role, he oversees income and expense tracking, budget development, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that all funds are managed in strict accordance with Islamic principles and nonprofit governance standards. His work reflects a strong commitment to amanah (trustworthiness), transparency, and sustainability, providing the Board and Trustees with clear, data-driven financial guidance to support responsible growth and community impact.
Professionally, Abu Salma is a Certified Lead Auditor with extensive experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Halal Management Systems (HMS), Integrated Management Systems (IMS), and regulatory compliance across a variety of service sectors in the US. He currently serves as a QMS Lead Auditor and HMS Shariah Auditor. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies and a Master’s degree in Islamic Commercial Law (2026), bringing together technical expertise and classical Islamic scholarship to ensure Nebras operates with both professional and ethical rigor and governance.

Secretary
Abu Sulaiman

Abu Sulaiman serves as the Secretary of Nebras and is deeply dedicated to the growth and well-being of the Muslim community in Lincoln.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Horticulture and his Masters in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, along with a graduate certificate in Public Administration and Management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
For over a decade, AS has been an active volunteer in the Lincoln and Omaha communities, including more than 5 years serving as Vice-Principal and Principal at the weekend Islamic school. ​His leadership in service are guided by the values and methodology of the first generations in Islam emphasizing sincerity, knowledge and community stewardship. ​
